I would love to see them back in Class 3. JM and Northside had some really good games.Just opt out of the state tourney and play against teams that can play with them. All this recruiting stuff is sickening.
Something has to give. There’s no reason for 4* recruits from Alabama transferring to a 2A VA school.I would love to see them back in Class 3. JM and Northside had some ready good games.
Did a parent take a job in Richmond? Richmond isn't a huge city, but also isn't a small town. There are quite a few economic opportunities in the RVA area. Not saying this is factual by any means. But people do move to and from RVA all the time. If I was moving to a new area I would definitely research the schools and programs and depending on sport(s) my kid(s) play would dictate what school I would want my kids at. So I would make sure I was in the district I need to be in.Something has to give. There’s no reason for 4* recruits from Alabama transferring to a 2A VA school.
It’s not just a 2A school. It’s a winning program(no tuition costs), with a coach that has access to most, if not all P4 coaches in America. As we see in college with NIL and transfer portal, the days of playing with kids from kindergarten are over. Y’all gotta get over it. Beating a dead horse is an understatement. Only playing 5-6 2A games at most will not hurt you when you been playing basically national level comp all seasonPlaying in the 2A State Tourney is of no benefit to JM. It may actually hurt their chances at the national level. There is also the possibility of a kid getting hurt or ejected. I say, if they want to be "elite", then they should stop playing in the 2A division and step it up. They can petition to play up, they just don't want to.
Whatever floats their boat..... Guaranteed title, I guess.Only playing 5-6 2A games at most will not hurt you when you been playing basically national level comp all season
Haha okay buddy whatever you say. You think a 4* from Alabama needs JM? Give me a break. I’d respect it more if the fans just admitted they know the VHSL won’t do anything so JM will do whatever they want. It’s not just a 2A school. Go play 3-4A, they only wanna stay in 2A bc they know it’s a guaranteed title every year. How could any 2A school compete with a program that uses their AAU ties to bring jn 4-5* recruits? It’s sure not the academics.Playing in the 2A State Tourney is of no benefit to JM. It may actually hurt their chances at the national level. lol it would be a guaranteed title at any classification, Bud!!Go play 3-4A, they only wanna stay in 2A bc they know it’s a guaranteed title every year. How could any 2A school compete with a program that uses their AAU ties to bring jn 4-5* recruits? It’s sure not the academics.
There’s some 5-6A teams that can compete with them. If they’re so ungodly unbeatable, why even waste time playing in the VHSL? Go play a national schedule and play teams that also recruit. Letting an AAU coach be the HS coach is insane anyway, and I do wonder how many of these out state transfers have legit addresses. Hmm but who cares? The VHSL surely doesn’t. Just see the Hopewell FB mess or when a kid a few seasons ago was allowed to transfer to a new school just in time for playoffs.lol it would be a guaranteed title at any classification, Bud!!
