All 9 teams in action this week as JRD match ups begin tonight. JRD was 3-5 last week.
BUCKINGHAM (0-2) at William Campbell (0-1). Last Year: Buckingham 55 WC 12. This year's game should be much closer. It will probably come down to whose team is adjusting better to new coaching staff.
CUMBERLAND(0-2) at BLUESTONE(0-1) Last Year: Bluestone 43 Cumberland 0. Bluestone continues to improve under Jackson. While Cumberland tries to rebuild. Barons should pick up home win here.
RANDOLPH-HENRY(0-2) at CENTRAL LUNENBURG(1-1) Last Year: Central 19 R-H 18. I think Central will win this one but both teams have to replace some key components from a year ago.
PRINCE EDWARD(1-1) at NOTTOWAY(0-2) Last Year: Nottoway 58 PE 26. This could come down to the wire. PE defense has greatly improved from a year ago. And Nottoway still trying to rebuild from their final 4 run 2 years ago. Look for a tight contest but I think Nottoway at home.
GOOCHLAND (2-0) at AMELIA(1-0) Last Year: Goochland 38 Amelia 6. This early season match up may decide the JRD title. I think most people you talk to would say these are the two frontrunners in the district. But I think Goochland has too many weapons and pull away late.
