Now that it's been released on social media, here's the official schedule for King William for the 2025 season. Once again they will be battle tested

Amelia- A
Westmoreland- H
Essex- A
Caroline - H
John Marshall - H
Armstrong- H
Halifax- A
Mecklenburg - A
Mechanicsville -H
Colonial Heights -A

Very good schedule! Good for them not playing any district games and playing C4 teams along with contenders Armstrong, Essex and Westmoreland. Coach Moore is my guy, happy for him and Pat Kane for building King William into a contender.
Yeah no more district football games for the foreseeable future. They'll also scrimmage Prince George and Tabb. They'll be a young team overall this year, but still talented.

I’m hearing K&Q won’t have a team this year 🥹 I hate it. I’m hopeful that KW can join the NN District soon!

I haven't heard for sure about King and Queen, but it wouldn't surprise me. They were senior heavy last year and in a school with only 150 kids, you're always going to have issues fielding a team. I was there for a couple of years as an assistant and even during a good year we only had about 25 kids.

Scott is my guy also....we played together in high school. I was a year ahead of him...not a better human being on planet Earth.... #BET

Yes, the district part really doesn't matter in today's times.
Which is really unfortunate. I still think that teams need to play a full district schedule or go independent. And if a school chooses to go independent, then they should join other schools in an open division. But that's a topic for a different and a different board.

Not mad at this idea. There are some situations, if even a handful, I think both district and team benefited from not playing the full schedule. But yes in most cases I still like a full district.

As a WP alum, I’m bummed that the ‘99 win will continue to be the last W against the in-county opponent. I understand why the shift, but I selfishly want WP to get a crack at them every year.

I was a freshman at WP on Coach Moore’s second ever team as JV head coach. We went 7-0. Still have our “Get on the bus!” shirt celebrating the season around here somewhere. Was sad to see him struggle as the varsity WP coach, but I knew it wasn’t a reflection of his abilities. Kane is an incredible assistant to have!

Kane is actually the AD now.

Pat Kane and Scott More, two Hermitage legends! Glad they finally won a championship together.
Me too. I don't know Kane very well but I do know the man is extremely knowledgeable about the game of football. As for Coach Moore, he is one of the classiest guys you will ever meet. Kane was the OC on the state championship team, then stepped away for a couple of years, but now he's in his first year of AD.
