Although we mainly talk football on here, I read in this morning's paper about a volleyball match played last night that certainly deserves mentioning. I did not attend but from what I read in the paper, I must have missed a doozy.
Riverheads traveled to Wilson after the Hornets had earlier taken a 5-set match at Riverheads. Each is trailing Buffalo Gap in the district standings. Last night they went 5 sets again with each taking a down to the wire set and each winning an easier set by double digits. So that set the stage for the deciding set.
If the paper is accurate, Wilson jumped out to a 5-0 lead and later led 14-10, meaning they just needed one point to clinch the match and celebrate. But instead Riverheads somehow managed to score the last six points and win the set 16-14. And they always said baseball was the game where it ain't over till it's over!
