Tight End Avir Johnson scored on a 43-yard touchdown reception on the 1st series of the game as Landstown survived a defensive struggle to defeat Salem 14-7. Landstown won the coin toss and decided to received the kick. Junior quarterback Zachary Ruello found Johnson open in the middle of the field and he raced to the end zone.

Salem tied it up in the 2nd quarter with a 13-play drive that ended with a 4th-down thrown from quarterback Scooter Williams to Cayden Davis with 6:47 to go before halftime. Davis made a shoe-string catch from 2-yards out. The Sun Devils had their field goal unit on the field but a Landstown offside move the ball two yards closer to the goal-line.

Landstown took the lead in the 4th quarter with a long scoring drive of their own. The Eagles moved 80-yards in 14 plays Ruello completed three passes for 39 yards and running back Isaiah Lovgren finished with a 6-yard touchdown run.

Salem had one more shot after driving down to the Landstown 13-yard line but Tarell Bailey picked off the pass with under a minute to go to seal the victory.
