MC beat William Monroe tonight 53-47 in Overtime. The Mountaineers started slow against the Dragons struggling to find a rhythm offensively but picked it up in the 4th quarter and overtime. Gaines Swink led Madison with 16 points. Elijah Lewis added 15 and Isiah Smith 11. Isaiah Breckenridge was a spark defensively in the 4th quarter and overtime putting constant pressure on the Monroe ballhandlers. Madison is now 17-2 overall and with this win clinches the Bull Run District Championship. It is Madisons first district title since 2010. The Mountaineers will travel to Orange on Monday for a non district game before hosting George Mason on Tuesday night. The winner of the Mason game will be the #1 seed in the Conference 35 tournament.
