Miller School will make their second straight State championship title game after knocking off Walsingham Academy 65-50 in a DII State semi-final The Mavericks, who earned the #1 seed, led by a comfortable margin the entire 2nd half.
Aundre Hyatt led Miller School with 23 points and eight rebounds. Jaylin Reed scored 21 points including four from downtown. He made three from long range in the 1st half when Miller went ahead 27-16 at halftime.
They pushed the lead to 19 late in the 3rd on their way to a 15 point win. Dae Dae Heard also scored in double figures finishing with 12 points.
Walsingham was led by Jaylin Steward who was a one man scoring machine finishing with 28 points. Sam Jones was also in double-figures with 12.
