I know Warwick is 5A and Grafton is 3A but everyone knows the 4A board is where all the traffic is so….

Corey Hairston retired from Warwick after 11 years being their HC in late November after Maury eliminated them from the playoffs…2 months later he is now the HC at Grafton. He took a 0-10 team and turned them in a yearly 9-1 regular season team. Squad has 6 L’s the last 3 years and all 6 L’s were against teams who ended up winning state title. Phoebus (3x), Maury (2x) and Dinwiddie.

The controversy is people believe he was forced out by the staff he assembled under him and now the program he built is in the hands of the people who once called him boss. Has anybody heard of anything similar to this before? I’m sure a lot of people up here could care less but it’s the offseason and I’m bored at work on a Saturday lol

Bro this is what happens when you bring glorified youth league coaches on your staff. I remember how those guys acted when Dinwiddie sent them home a few years back. Total bunch of classless bums if you ask me. People dispute me all the time but you have to bring guys on your staff that’s employed by the school system or county/city government. Eliminates a lot of bull jive.
