Northumberland opens with big Baseball & Softball wins

NHS Softball won at Mathews 9-0. I heard NHS pitcher Brantley Swift (Bridgewater) pitched a 1 hitter (had 13 strikeouts).

NHS Baseball won at Mathews 2-1. The Indians' Blake Edwards drove in both runs, including the winner.

Mathews is usually quite good at both sports so a good start for the Indians.
