In the absence of PM Senior thrower K J Cook, team mate and Junior, Joshua Fischer took the lead for the Men's throwers on 3-29-17 besting the field of seven teams by quite a margin.. The 6'-5", 255 pound Fischer easily notched the first place spot with a heave of 51' even... Fischer had two throws that easily surpassed the 54' mark but again failed to complete the follow through and was unable to maintain his balance clipping the toe-board and scratching his two best throws.. Sealing the 2nd place spot was team mate and Senior, Jeremy Nelson with a chunk of 48' and some change.. The rest of the field struggled to break the 40' mark.. Fischer also took advantage of Cook's absence and placed 1st in the Discus with a heave of 128'-9", with the next closest mark being 8' shy.. PM's Nelson took the 3rd place spot in Discus with a heave of 120'- 5".. Cook and Fischer will be traveling to Lynchburg's E.C Glass this coming Saturday to compete in a larger meet that will host some bigger schools and look to encounter a little stiffer competition as the duo prepares for the upcoming State Meet in June!! On the Ladies side, Junior Summer Snider placed 1st in the Discus also breaking the PM school record with a heave of 117'... Stay tuned for more from the "Blue's Brothers" and Sisters Throwers from PM!!!!
