Patrick Henry Roa preview

Along with Franklin County, has to be the most disappointing/frustrating program on that side of the state.

There are so many factors at play that separate a perennial 3-7 team to a 7-3 team from a perennial 9-1 or 10-0 team. There's school and community support, facilities, coaching, buying in to the system, weights, fitness and conditioning, nutrition, practice, repetition, watching film, administrations that support the students and coaches, etc.... (I love how everytime I go to a Salem sporting event I see the AD Drew Barrett, or previously Chris King) If you look at successful programs with sustained excellence you will find most of these traits and more. For example, in football you don't have to look any further than the championship participants from last year's C4 title game- Phoebus and Salem have 10 titles each, and their approximate 40 year record is insane. Phoebus 382-73 (84%) Salem 420-82 (84%) I did these in my head so forgive me if my old brain failed.
