How do you know that Coach Wheeler will throw the ball?Mark wheeler named new head coach at PM watch out he will pull the trigger and throw the football from any formation or down
All I can say is welcome to the District.. And they had better be ready to HIT and GET HIT!!!!
ZeroHow many kids does PM have this year that are running a 4.3?
ONE!!!! and it is not open for discussion, it is what it is.. He is #11, Name is Cole Walker and it is my belief that he will be used anywhere and everywhere... Not sure exactly what his 40 is, don't care... What I do know that he is/will be the fastest player on the field every Friday night regardless of what side of the ball he's on.. HANDS DOWN!! 5'-10" maybe 11 about a buck 55...There is fast and then there is "FOOTBALL FAST".. K J Moore, running back for Covington is F-A-S-T!!.. Walker ran him down last year trailing from 12-15 yards, in a straight line after Moore broke through the opposite side of the defense.. Very little angle on Walkers' part.. Moore broke through and went to the middle of the field all alone, BIG MISTAKE!! Walker made a TD saving tackle on the 3 yard line.. Covington eventually scored but it just as easily could have gone the other way on the next play... Laugh if you want to but I would put him up against Cole Beck from Blacksburg in a foot race.. Been trying to get the kid to run track for 3 years, he's just not interested.. As for the rest of "the kids", maybe one or two kids legitimately under a 5.. However, aside from the loss of Cook and Nelson they are basically the same team. The beginning of a new year only makes them, just as it does anyone else, a little SMARTER a little OLDER a little BIGGER and a little STRONGER and in my opinion they will be a little FASTER in all aspects of the game... Keep your eyes and ears open for #11, and several others!! The BLUES have always played "smash mouth football" and they will continue to do so.. Offensively and Defensively... If this years' kids can stay healthy(I know, I know, (IF) etc. etc. etc..., folks will find a way to talk about "BLUES FOOTBALL" even more so than they did last year... Imagine that!!How many kids does PM have this year that are running a 4.3?
I guess the rest of 1A just as well concede to PM after they read your post . Go ahead and order those rings ! lmaoONE!!!! and it is not open for discussion, it is what it is.. Duhh-Huhhh, XCross.....Didn't say that.. Pretty sure I didn't even at the least minimally insinuate anything close to what you have insinuated.... I went back and re-read my post just to make sure and just as I thought, NOWHERE in the previous post did I EVER make mention of or "quote" where I thought the Blues would start, finish or otherwise... The man simply asked a question and I gave him an honest answer, IN MY OPINION!! The ONLY statement I made that even remotely had the possibility of "throwing fuel on the fire" so to speak was the last one.. And, correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm sure you will try to do because that's the kind of D!&K you are, isn't that what "Football Folks" do, talk about said football teams at the beginning, middle and end of the season, and sometimes even after the season?? Geez, regardless of your knowledge of football or any other sport, you really do come A-Xcross as an @$$hole and you my friend are nothing more than an instigator as I'm sure you and many others are aware, and a pretty good one at that.. So, you keep being a D!&K and I'll try to keep being civilized as does the majority of others on this forum...I guess the rest of 1A just as well concede to PM after they read your post . DinwiddieProud, I may be wrong but, not really... Coach Wheeler has been the Head JV Coach for the last I don't know how long.. LOL.. So, he has already coached and knows all of these kids first hand and they respect and respond to him very well. He has always assisted with the Varsity operations for years and was usually in the "box upstairs" helping make on field adjustments.. I think he/they will do fine. He's a great guy, a great Coach and he knows football.. He's getting a pretty good group of kids and I hope they do great things for each other this year.. Then again, it is football and anything can happen... Just my opinion, and thanks "football brother" for being respectable, it just makes it a lot easier to communicate with a person!!Boom, you don't think having a new coach may mean an adjustment period?
Are you eleven years old or act that way !Duhh-Huhhh, XCross.....Didn't say that.. Pretty sure I didn't even at the least minimally insinuate anything close to what you have insinuated.... Yea, Like I said, D!&K!!!Are you eleven years old or act that way !

Don't know where that q came from but prob none..just like 95% of high schools in VA...
You're right, may finish 2nd, he may finish 3rd, he may not finish at all, then again, HE MAY WIN!! That's why I said, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE between FAST and FOOTBALL FAST!! You asked how many athletes (kids) PM had that could run a 4.3.. And I told you.. I don't see what is so laughable.. I didn't say he was going to run a 4.3 on every play, he may not have to run a 4.3 period.. What I did say was that when he is he lines up against the competition on Friday Nights, HE WILL BE THE FASTEST GUY ON THE FIELD... Just because you don't see it or believe it doesn't mean it's not true!!!Welll.. you proved my point when you compared him to Cole Beck lol!
I can't believe you can't get him to run track?! I'm sure he would've been right there with Beck finishing 2nd in the country in the 100m!!
DinwiddieProud, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! Like I said, there is a DIFFERENCE between FAST and FOOTBALL FAST... I guess that's hard for some folks to comprehend...Hey guys, don't get too hung up on speed. One of the greatest pitchers ever to pitch in MLB only rarely hit 90 mph on the radar gun. And he was unhitable on most nights. Plus, he did everything else that was asked of him. Sacrifice bunting to perfection, and playing his position to Gold Glove standards. Greg Mattox.
So, as impressive as "fast" is, it means nothing if not part of the complete body of work.

LOL... Ohh Okay, I comprehend just fine thank you.. Yea, that definitely wasn't me but if it had been I would tell you so.. And that person ("poster") knew just as EVERYONE else did that we didn't have A SINGLE PLAYER/RUNNING BACK (other than the Walker kid) that ran under 5...Maybe on a "really good day" we could have as many as two, depending on the tailwind.. And at a 10.41 he may well be the "fastest guy in cleats", or he may be the "2nd fastest guy in cleats" however, we don't compete against Blacksburg and unless we could somehow get them to line up side by side and run a straight line with no obstacles I guess we'll never know... I'm just saying the kid is fast! You'll have to explain further the reference in which you used "Western Virginia".. I don't care where a person is from, if he/she runs a 10.41 100 m or a 4.3= 40, THEY ARE FAST!!! Maybe the FASTEST, MAYBE NOT, none the less they are FAST... A person (kid) can be the fastest person on the field, the track or anywhere else, but if they don't get an opportunity to display it then it's a moot pointAnd you're not comprehending I'm making fun of the PM poster (maybe you? I can't remember) that wanted to brag last season about how PM had their entire backfield running 4.4's.
& you saying fast and football fast only works one way. Sure a guy that that runs a 4.8-4.9 can look "football fast" in western Virginia, but give me someone who ran a 10.41 in the 100m on a track and he's still gonna be the fastest guy in cleats

eh31, Finally, we agree on something!!! LOL... If we had (any) guys that ran a 4.5 or under, they NEVER made it to a practice, a game or otherwise... And I will say it again, in a straight line with no obstacles, win, lose or draw I would put Walker right up there with Beck.. I've seen Beck run many times and no doubt he is FAST, but it is also my belief that Walker is just as FAST if not FASTER... Again, you are absolutely correct, I also believe that he missed out on the opportunity for several 1A State Championships in track. He's a great kid and he loves football and basketball and is above average in both but for whatever reason he just had no interest in running track??Western Virginia was used as a reference because on this end of the state we don't see very many very fast guys. I'd venture to say if you have a guy clocked at a 4.8 he would be the fastest player on the field for at least 75% of his games (on the western end of the state).
I don't care to argue who's fast, who's not, so on and so forth. I was just making a joke about the guy that swore up and down for weeks on this forum that PM had at least three 4.4 guys.
I will say that if your school has a kid that you honestly believe can run with Cole Beck then they're missing out on 1A state championships on the track.

Well Said !!!!!!Enough.
Speed isn't something you buy into....you can prove it or disprove it.
Have him run a 40 and then get back to us.....Beck has times and they speak volumes. It's easy to state "I believe he's faster and I don't care what you say...."....grow up. Get a watch a provide a time or "enough".
Got it?
No, I just don't want anyone to cross the line and be put in time out.DinwiddieProud, you are a WISE MAN!!
I know right, ESPECIALLY "SOMEONE FROM PM".. HYSTERICAL!!!DinwiddieProud, you are a WISE MAN!!
