Just saw the story in the paper, sad. Prayers to his family.
Since the news is public, I have posted the story so that all can focus their prayers on this family. Kavon is the brother of a senior at Dinwiddie High School. May God's Grace and Mercy comfort this family.
Virginia State Police are investigating after a man accidentally shot and killed himself early Sunday while riding in a vehicle on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County.
Kavon A. Cooper, 21, of Church Road, was waving a revolver around inside a vehicle traveling south on I-85 when the gun went off about 2:45 a.m., state police said.
The driver of the vehicle immediately took the exit for Boydton Plank Road (U.S. 1), pulled into a restaurant parking lot and summoned help, state police said.
Cooper died at the scene. Neither the driver nor another man in the vehicle was injured.
