Rivals 4-star Andre Clarke Jr scored a touchdown and made three receptions. His best play was a great catch on a sideline pass for 33-yards but the play was called back due to a blindside block. Clarke also started at safety but he wasn't able to show his skillset against the run-heavy Freeman offense. He finished with one carry for seven yards and three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown. Clarke is the #7 rated player in Virginia for the 2026 class. His Rivals.com offer page has 25 schools including Michigan, Virginia tech, Syracuse South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and East Carolina.

Junior quarterback Benjamin Yeanay Jr (6-foot-0, 170) finished the game completing 10 of 20 passes for 170 yards and two touchdown passes leading Hermitage over Freeman. He was clutch in the 4th quarter with his team trailing by 10. Yeanay led the Panthers on an 11 play, 80-yard scoring drive that he finished with a touchdown pass to Aaron Clarke. Later, a key 14-yard game setup a 4th-and-1 that Earlonte' Winston converted for a 1st down leading to the winning touchdown. Last year as a sophomore, Yeanay threw for 1048 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has nearly matched those numbers this season with 841 yards and 10 touchdowns passes in four less games. He has an offer from Chowan.

Senior running back Earlonte' Winston (5-foot-10, 165) totaled 105 yards on 19 carries while adding three receptions for 53 yards. Winston not only scored the game-winning touchdown, but he converted a 4th-and-1 from the five-yard line to setup the score. D2 interests including an offer from Chowan. totaled 105 yards on 19 carries while adding three receptions for 53 yards. Winston was a 1st team All-Region selection as a junior after totaling over 1200 yards with 12 touchdowns. He attacks the whole and is able to turn short gainers in to impact plays. He has a D1 offer from Delaware State and he has D2 interests including an offer from Chowan.

Junior Bryson Robinson (5-foot-10, 165) also had three receptions, and he was the leading receiver with 81 yards. Robinson also returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown, but it was negated by a penalty. Robinson is a playmaker who is great with yards after the catch. He is super-fast, has great vision and can score anytime he touches the football.

Senior Latrell Washington (6-foot-2, 180) was credited with six solo tackles including a huge stop on 4th-and-1 that gave Hermitage the ball at the Freeman 29-yard line. He had close to a dozen tackles and he was my Defensive Player of the game. Washington is listed as a safety, but he was primarily lined up near the line of scrimmage due to the Freeman gameplan that was exclusively heavy towards the run game. Washington lists Bluefield State and Hampton Sydney among his official offers and says he has interests VMI and Delaware State University.

Freeman

Senior Warrick "Butter" Stephenson (5-foot-7, 180) has breakaway speed. He scored on two consecutive plays from scrimmage with a 70-yard touchdown run and a 10-yard run after a Hermitage fumble. Stephenson scored a 3rd touchdown on a 15-yard run in the 3rd quarter. He finished with 26 carries for 164 yards while adding 10 receiving yards. He has offers from Washington & Lee, Oberlin, Carleton, Middlebury, Amhurst, and Hampton Sydney.
