It's clear the best teams in 4A East are going to meet next week, Courtland @ Lake Taylor, everything else doesn't really matter. I believe it will be a decent game, but that Lake Taylor will eventually overwhelm Courtland

I went to this game tonight. About bored me to tears with all of the penalties. Looked liked first/second week of the regular season instead of midway through the postseason.

I bolted over to Massaponax once the Courtland game went final only to see Stone Bridge convert a third down and take a couple of knees to finish off the upset.

I definitely picked the wrong game in Spotsylvania to attend this evening.

Yes I agree I did the same thing. Courtland commits way too many penalties and if that carries over to next week o boy

Courtland defense was quick and outstanding- 4/5 players in on every play, the normal running game will not work with that kind of coverage. The defense played well at times but had some cases poor tackling on others with the play contained and therefore allowed some big plays. From what I saw Courtland is definitely the better team. As far the other who would beat who as noted above- who gives a damn for Christ sake.

I was disappointed in Lafayette I really thought they would have been a better team. I sat on the Lafayette side and their fans said they haven't seen a team like Courtland in a long time. They also asked what the district they played in was like and I elaborated on some games this year. Appears it was a down year for the BR district

BRD= Terrible football. Lafayette gets fat on those teams and when it comes playoff time the district does not do well. I provided numbers the other day to prove this point. Until someone front he BRD uses their OOD game to schedule someone with a pulse this will continue to happen.

And yet another Bay Rivers flogging at the hands of the Battlefield. History proves me correct. That's all I'll say.

Great job Courtland. Good luck next week!
