Monday - Tidewater battles-

Mathews over Middlesex 4-3 (sounds like a great one, Middlesex on the move)

West Point over Carver 2-0

NND action Tuesday -

Northumberland over Lancaster 3-2

(NHS had 3-0 lead in the 2nd half, Lancaster made a furious run to make a game of it). Northumberland's 1st victory over a fellow NND team in 5 years.

Last Friday -

Rapp-Warsaw over 4A Caroline 3-0 (Rapps Senior Night)

Bruton (last year's 2A State Champion runners up) won over Northumberland in Williamsburg 4-1 (was 1-1 at the half).

Recently on the Eastern Shore-

Northampton beat 2A Arcadia 3-2 and tied them 1-1

Big games in the NND/43 Wednesday Night action

#2 Essex defeated #1 Rapp- Warsaw 2-1.

Goals for Essex were by Alden McKinley and Tristan Gross. Rapp's goal was by Rett Hillman. Last game in Warsaw was a 1-0 win by Rapp. These two teams look to be locking up the top two seeds.

#3 Northumberland defeated 2A NND member Washington and Lee 2-1.

NHS' Jesus Acosta ripped a shot with under 10 min left in the game to set off the victory celebrations (been a long time since NHS has beaten the Eagles). The Indians' Damonte Thornton scored the opening goal. I believe W&L's goal was scored by Jorge Barajas. Great game. The Northumberland JV also won 2-1.

Mathews beat Caver last night 8-0. They will play again Monday in a makeup game and that'll be Mathews last game of the regular season. Mathews is currently 11-2.

Not that it means much but WP beat KW 7-2 Wed eve. The JV tied 0-0. JV is 10-2-2, with only losses both being 3-1 to 3A York and New Kent. JV has not been scored on by a single A team

W&L defeated Essex last night (Essex Senior night) 3-0 to shake things up a bit more in the old NND.

Middlesex defeated West Point 4-2 in a big win for the Chargers in the old Tidewater.

Mathews dropped 13 on new program Carver (come on man...)

Big games this week-

Northumberland plays Tuesday-Wednesday- Thursday this week to wrap up the regular season.

Lancaster and Essex play tonight.

Tough game last night in Lancaster. Both teams really played hard to win. Hate the tie in sports.
A tid bit of information about the game. Northumberland's goal was stopped by the Lancaster keeper- clearly, and then kicked out of his hands into the goal. Ref on the other side of the field declared the keeper did not have control. Not true. Anyway...that was the deciding factor.
Lancaster travels to Rapp Co on Monday to see who faces the Rapp Raiders.
