refs..

I didn't see the game, but I watched a lot of Bulldog highlights on the net. From what I saw Brunswick played horse with no one guarding them. They were very athletic, shot the ball well, and really attack on offense. I told folks down here that I expected it would be different when you played someone who got up in your face. All the good teams down this way play up in your face and press when they need to. they also play a lot of kids, and sub liberally. Floyd does and they are very successful. It was a coin toss game between GC and Floyd. I expected the winner of that game would be in the finals.
It is no fluke the teams who play that way are the more successful teams in the playoffs. Once again, I wasn't there, but calling it cheating may be a little harsh

One other thing I would look into is how your Region puts 16 teams in the tourney. It is a joke playing 3 win teams like Maggie Walker and winning 77-7 or 80-20. It does no one any good. It comes back to bite you when you play good teams in a close game.

Come on coach, you're better than that. Tough loss for the Bulldogs who may have had more talent than Central, but just wasn't the better team on this certain day.

If anyone doesn't believe that the refs ;play a part in wins and losses, then its probably his or her team that's benefitting!!! But hey, it has now become part of the game!!! I have seen the worst officiating this year in the VHSL, both for and against our squad. The VHSL has to better when selecting officials for games and not serve up so much home cooking.
