Okay so we all know Region 5C used to be Region 5B.
Since the realignment of 2013 the region has been exclusively old Central Region teams and we all know the region gets 8 teams into the playoffs.
Highland Springs is the only team to qualify for the playoffs every year, they are the anomaly.
In 2014 one team from 2013 fell out.
In 2015 there was turnover of 2 two teams.
In 2016 there was another turnover of 2 teams.
In 2017 there was a turnover of 3 teams.
In 2018 there was a turnover of 5 teams.
In 2019 there was a turnover of 3 teams.
With Spring 2021 being just a 4-team playoff I chose not to compare that to 2019 nor that Spring season to the Fall.
On average though we see a change over of 2-3 teams which begs the question... of the teams that qualified last year, who does not make and who fills the holes?
Last Fall we saw Hermitage, Highland Springs, Douglas Freeman, Mills Godwin, LC Bird, Glen Allen, JR Tucker and Midlothian all make the playoffs. Who falls out this year?
That leaves 4 teams to rise up and make the playoffs... Meadowbrook? Prince George? Deep Run? Clover Hill?
