Sussex Central's Churrio Scott showed why is he was Region A's projected top back with an amazing game.[/B]
Churrio Scott SUSSEX CENTRAL
Scott gave an amazing performance dominating the contest versus Park View while displaying the speed head coach Curtis Jefferson was waiting to see. Scott took 15 carries for 346 yards and 5 touchdowns on the night.
Camajae Peatross KING WILLIAM[/B]
Peatross went up against the speed of the Charles City Panthers and put on a show. The senior back had 17 carries for 218 yards rushing. He also had 4 grabs for 70 yards. He had 5 total touchdowns with 3 being rushing scores and 2 caught.
Dexter Thompson WASHINGTON & LEE[/B]
The Eagles running back stepped up for the big game and helped his team roll. Thompson had 10 carries for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns including one that went for 53 yards.
DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS
Lamar Lucas COLONIAL BEACH[/B]
The usual dominating running back showed that he can be a defensive nightmare as well. Lucas recorded 3 interceptions to help lead the Drifters to a key district victory over Rappahannock.
Daylan Owens BRUNSWICK
The brother of the star quarterback for the Bulldogs recorded 19 tackles on the night to help Brunswick fench in the Franklin Broncos 32-8.
Clyde Edmond SUSSEX CENTRAL[/B]
The freshman defensive end had 3 sacks, 8 tackles, and 5 hurries coming hard off the edge making the Park View Dragons uncomfortable all night.
