Let's hear some chatter on this one. I love seeing really small schools having success stories like Bath Co and Rye Cove in Region D. I've seen Bath a couple of times and their QB Wyatt Campbell is the real deal, especially on the ground. Jake Phillips has done a tremendous job turning that program around. I saw Grayson earlier in the season, but not recently. They're lead by the 3 Goad brothers, and to beat a team like George Wythe twice says a lot. Curious to see what others who are more familiar with these two teams, have to say about this one. Nothing against Grayson, but I'll be pulling for Bath in this one.

What day time is the game?
I think Friday at 330 according to Bath athletics site

The QB for Bath is good. The blocking is very efficient for what they run. I dont know anything about Grayson unfortunately; only watched them online a few times.

Hopefully it wont be as windy as it was last night in Hot Springs (blew so hard it rotated one of the goal posts lol)

I am looking forward to this one. Ill watch some more Grayson this week, I want to see their d-line and linebackers more.

I’ve watched Grayson twice in person and Bath once in person. No offense to the Pioneer District but Bath hasn’t face a speedy, physical defense yet. In terms of size, Grayson’s line doesn’t look that big but them kids are quick and spend a lot of time in the weight room. I really was not expecting them to shut down GWs run game the way they did whether it was on the edge or up the middle Grayson swarmed to the ball. They also had the QB running for his life most of the night. I’m not sure what’s Bath’s passing game is like but they will need to execute through the air to win this one. I’m taking Grayson 28-18

I think your assessment is very accurate. I watched some this evening of both teams.

You are very right about the Pioneer.

Idk if there will be much passing done in the low-mid 30's with 15mph winds gusting to 30-ish. I can see Grayson wearing them down.

Bath hasn't played a tough schedule and I think it will hurt them when a good team comes to town.

#8 for Bath Co I think will be the best player on the field....however, I think Grayson may be the best team on the field. Bath has overwhelmed everyone on defense this year, against teams who do not have great speed nor multiple guys who can cause issues; this I believe will be the big difference. Bath will be very aggressive and bring the house a lot, but Grayson will have a couple guys who can break it off the edge and who with a small crease up the middle make a big play. I will say, if Grayson does some stupid crap like; look past Bath Co., punt to # 8, KO to #8, throws interceptions to #8, turns the ball over several times; might just be the difference. Would I pick Grayson Co to win sure, would it surprise me if Bath won; absolutely not. Who will I be cheering for.....the only SINGLE A SCHOOL in the game.

GW moved ball very well Friday .....too huge fumbles cost them a touchdown and gave away one. That and a bizarre play at end of game where GW player appeared to be on way to TD and basically allowed GC defender to catch up? That being said this talent pool past 3 years for GC is best they have had 12-15 years. What Bath has achieved with what I believe is smallest enrollment playing 1A football is super impressive. Rooting for Bath but feel Grayson wins 35-14

It was a very small 1A school playing a 2A school. That combined with a weak schedule hurt Bath County. It’s still an impressive run for them especially considering their school size.
