Gladiators won 12-5 but no more details since I did not attend this one. As reported earlier, next up for the Big Red is a home game Friday (weather-permitting) against district-leading Wilson Memorial.

Today's Harrisonburg paper reports this score as being 17-5 and also says it was a five inning game. It appears that Bennett Dunlap was the heavy hitter of the day and in fact gave the Gladiators their first round-tripper of the season.

So I guess that means it went the full 7 innings after all? Wonder where they got that idea???

Bluesfan probably already knows this but I got clarification tonight about the first PM game and the score discrepancy. My source tells me that RHS was ahead 12-5 after five innings and then scored five more runs in the top of the sixth. The game was then called for rain, so the official score reverted back to what it had been at the end of the fifth. Hence the final was indeed 12-5 as he reported.
