Here you go. Not a chance. A true program has fans who express a desire to commit suicide and get rid of their coaching staff after one loss. General fans fully understand our program does not have the tradition/pedigree of a certain program just southwest of Roanoke. In fact, Navy Nation humbly cherishes our five measley state championship appearances and love our boys the same whether they have won or fallen short.
I agree. Some fans loose it after a loss. Learn from your mistakes and move on to the next game. Success takes a lot of hard work and many hours of film study. Just getting to the championship is hard, much less winning it. Dinwiddie made it look easy last yr. That's far from the truth.
More like a sigh of relief vs smiling. We have to keep being creative to open up the Salem bread and butter offense. One of the reasons I was so worried and outspoken was we had this same speed last year, with a very experienced qb. We didn’t do any of what was seen Friday night. So I’m relieved because we are gonna need this against teams like PH and post season
Don't know who you are but I'm the one who said the kid will get better. Probably won't be as good as Wilson but time will tell. I also don't remember anyone trying to destroy Wilson. Wilson did a great job at Salem in the classroom and on the field. Led the team to a state championship. You are trying to incenuate something that doesn't exist. Wilson had a great game vs Ferrum by the way.
I’m not sure who this directed to, but I really hope it’s not a race bait type thing. Don’t remember saying much about Wilson, if I did, it would have been he was scared to run and use his speed. Other than that, a solid qb for Salem. The kid we have now is unknown for the most part, so far his passing accuracy is questionable, hence why I said if he gets better we can make some noise, as long as play calling stays creative. The playing calling last year, particularly the Glass game was 1 dimensional hence why I said they didn’t use the passing game with an experienced qb. So I’m not sure what merits your “wonder why” question!!

They played Ferrum. He played in secondary and had some snaps at QB. Saw one highlight where he had a 13 yrd run. They won in overtime
Welcome to the social media world. Unfortunately not everyone will agree and they all have their opinions. Wilson is a great kid and he will rise above any negativity posted on social media. He is a great student athlete and his future is bright.
@BleedingNavy there are receipts of how this forum talk about young kids playing a game, and honestly, I’m just going to guess most of you didn’t play at their level.
The kid at Glenvar would have been the backup QB if he did not change school districts. Anyone close to the program would have known this. No way would he have ever started over Wilson.
Bud, I understand more about the game than you could possibly comprehend!! If you didn’t see a different Lewis in the Franklin game, then you don’t understand athletes or the game of football, since the LCA game, he’s been a different player. From what I was told us Lewis had 4 straight carries 2 being sweeps. As a back you run min 15-20 yards before first contact. He ran two of those them off tackle. Why not have the Persinger kid spell him. He is more that capable.
