Giles 2-1 Radford. a single a win, but big one. Radford moves up to 2A soon, and they are always a quality opponent.
James River 4-5 Alleghany: I was rooting for the Knights in this one. They still have LB on the schedule which would be another high quality win.
Glenvar 3-1 Floyd: A battle for 4-5 in conference
Graham 4-1 Grayson: Not a ton of scores flowing from that conference. I do know Grayson isn't too formidable, so this score is about what one would expect. I love for Graham/Richlands to make there way out to region from that end.

JR took a 2-1 lead into halftime but came out flat the 2nd period and allowed 3 goals by Alleghany in about a 6-7 minute span partway in, they then returned the favor with 2 goals to tie it in about a five minute span before they lost it on a "hail mary" with less than a minute to go.
Not sure about the 4-5 conference battle, Martinsville record at 2-5-2, latest VHSL conference standings has them towards the bottom by points, of course this is playing a lot of larger schools so its not a real good view of how they would be against the rest of the conference. JR has Glenvar at home wednesday so hopefully they can get a W over them again.

Martinsville lost to Bassett last night 1-0...I think. (I know it was a loss)
That makes the race for 1 in Conference a bit closer. Martinsville still takes it if they win out...shoot even with another loss they still can. Power Points!
Giles and James River are still right in the fray though. James River still has LB and Giles will face Radford once more before it is all said and done. However they both still have several matches that could be upsets. No one is a sure thing yet.

JR over Glenvar 5-2, may b the first time they have swept them in regular season, not sure on that, PM and Bath @ home before the rematch at LB and then finish with PM on the turf field.

Richlands took a loss to Lebanon the other night. 1-3. It is hard to get a lot of info out of the far West in soccer...or anything for that matter, but from what I can gather those are two of the better 2A squads. Richlands and Graham (two teams that actually post results) will face off again next week. I'll be willing to bet Graham will hit em hard early!

As far as the Mountain District goes, I think John Battle might be the cream of the crop, maybe Union as well.

I saw one score from them, but didn't have enough info to add much by way of analysis. I know Battle is a more soccer friendly school than others.
