Silly me showed up late to the game (had a prior commitment), so I ended up sitting on the Handley side. Note that this isn't directed at anyone who has an account here, and I'm 100% sure these individuals don't represent the Handley fanbase as a whole, but considering they did mention getting scores of other games online I figure there's a chance they might read this.
Sherando is not a 5A school, and Handley is not a 3A school. The Sherando administration doesn't cry and plead with the VHSL to stay in 4A just so they can beat up on the other area schools, and it isn't the referees' fault the score was 42-0 at halftime. If you truly believe there is a grand conspiracy going on between Sherando and the VHSL, I implore you to file a complaint with the VHSL. If you feel the numbers the VHSL received were incorrect and that they made an incorrect decision to keep Sherando in 4A, do contact them and make your case.
Among other less pleasant things, I heard all that and more from a few individuals. I doubt any of them will read this, but all you're doing is making your team and your school look bad. There were many Handley fans around me who were visibly uncomfortable with the language you were using, and several got up and left when I doubt they would have otherwise.
Just wanted to rant a little since it was irritating. Handley has had a few bad years, and I know that brings out the worst in some people, but there's no need to spew hate towards those who just came to watch a football game.
Apart from them, everything was set up quite well, the staff was excellent, and the Handley Bowl was beautiful as always. In a few years I'm sure the Judges will be back up to form.
Big game for Sherando next week at Fort Hill. Will take their best game of the year to hang with them.
