Sad to read the news of the passing of Moses Malone in his sleep this morning. Probably the greatest HS player in the history of the Commonwealth. And after reading Yahoo Sports...what stats as an ABA and NBAer! Averaged 18 ppg and 11 boards a game as an 18 year old! Won state title for the Crimson Wave in '74 I believe under Carl Peel. They said U-Hall was packed and rocking for that one! (West Springfield led by Coach Don McCool and future UVA player Dave Koesters almost pulled the upset!)
Anybody remember his "Fo-fo and fo" quote when asked how he thought the Sixers would do in the playoffs? Or that he could get four other guys off the street in Petersburg (in addition to himself) and beat the Celtics?
