Stuarts Draft 56 Luray 27 Final

Draft’s coaching, decision making, and game management is impressive.
Having the horses helps overall but their use of the hard count and the screen pass to end the half was top notch.

Don't let the score fool you, Luray is a good team. I think they are by a good bit the best team SD has played.

SD took the early lead 6-0 on a 39 yd pass from Cooke to Howard.

Luray then scored the next 2, one by 21 yd pass from Griffin to Adkins and then a 74 run by Holloway to take a 14-6 lead.

SD knotted it up with a 21 yd pass to F. Watkins.

Holloway got back on the board with a 57 yd run by Holloway. 20-14

Then in good fortune by SD, they 1st scored on a 2nd pass to Watkins to take a 21-20 lead they would never relinquish.

SD scored late in the half on a 6 yd run by Nice to make it 28-20, and recovered a fumble in the last minute and scored on last play of half to take 35-20 lead into half.

Draft got the ball 1st and took it down and scored on a 1 yd run by Cooke, and a 1 yd run by Nice later results in a 49-20 lead.

Holloway then scampered 27 yards to make it 49-27, but SD later scored on a 63 yd pass to Howard on a circus catch on 4th down and long I believe. 56-27

Stuarts Draft (5-0) travels to Buffalo Gap (3-2) next Friday and Luray (4-1) hosts Clarke County (4-1)
