Hayfield

Please explain how would it wreck hs sports in more ways to come when Jerry Falwell literally did the same thing with his legal team against the VSHL 🤔? When they allowed a blatant private school join a public league, and not only join but dictate what Classification they would play in (3A) while bringing in a 4⭐️ high RB from New York. That my friend was the day the VHSL lost all it's accreditation and fair market value. So stop it. Until mass corruption is alleviated in totality, I don't want to hear it. And trust me. They wouldn't file that injunction is there wasn't tangible and validated supported evidence and documentation to win.
I totally agree with you on LCA and have expressed the lack of backbone displayed by the participating schools. I am firmly against any type of open enrollment, non custodial, permanent transfers and anything else deemed illegal by our current VHSL guidelines.

Again, read the injunction. It's signed by one parent. No other co-signers. It references the law suit (two different things) as evidence. I was simply using the example of financial loss to prove the justification of an injunction which I don't believe is relevant in this case.

Please take minute and contemplate this. If the Court rules against the member schools then it will make the VHSL irrelevant. This will create a version of the wild West thus giving each child the ability to play anywhere they want without consequences. I ask you again, is this what you want?

@Bucktown434, think of it this way. Everybody hates the NCAA, but it's a necessary evil. Without guidelines you simply have another pro league. What is sad is the people who advocate for the super conferences and super teams (high school and college) believe they are helping kids, but in reality they are creating fewer opportunities. Eventually, their will be no revenue for the outsiders thus eliminating scholarship opportunities and a chance to make it out. I have been fighting against this for the kids in Petersburg, Hopewell, Prince George and Dinwiddie for 35 years. You think I am going to stand idly by and watch their futures go down in smoke over some snake oil salesman. Hell to the No!

Yea you know it all. I can't wait to see your response on Friday

All I do is that YOU IS BIG MAD. I mean you would think food is being taken off your table, and bills not getting paid the way yall have been praying for this to go in your favor lol. It's crazy.
How about this novel idea? How about we pray that that the outcome sets the example that violating rules that you agreed to abide by carries consequences?

It's not about what I want at this point. I'm just a spectator looking from the outside of mass corruption in football on every single level. From Rec to the NFL. Competitive disadvantages have been created since the inception of sports. There is no such thing as moral compass, true integrity, or liberation. Let's keep it 💯 Mr Navy. Either we as men go watch the sport and or not support it. Period. We tell ourselves to root for the under dog (who do it by the book) and hate the ones who find loopholes and "cheat" to win, when in reality we don't have a clue what's going on.

The lower classification should just play anyways no matter what happens with this. They can't afford to have a delay, it will wreck their winter sports, the football players make up the basketball, wrestling and indoor track teams. Most schools can't field the other teams without the football players. Doesn't effect them one way so, who cares what is going on in NoVa. I still don't understand the fussing over a private school playing with the public schools. Just about every other state has multi private schools competiting against the publics. Va is just late to the party, but no need to get panties all in a wad. As long as the kids live in the school district it doesn't matter where they came from. Nobody is commuting from New York to Lynchburg so that has nothing to do with any of it. Things most be much different in NoVa and the tidewater with non moving transfers. Mass majority of the rest of the state doesn't even have those options or even concerns. But the local school system should never be allowed to conduct the final says investigation and never has before. The vhsl always conducts the deciding investigation. If these other past coaches got away with it, it is because nobody ever reported them to the vhsl. The vhsl doesn't go out actively looking for any of this, it has to be reported to them from a member institution. But it falls on the head coach and AD, they are responsible for the master eligibility list for their teams, it is their job to verify residency. If all the players live in the school district then there is no need for concern. But if they don't, then they are 365'd until that year is up. Only way around that would be open enrollment, but that only works if you live inside the county or city of that school system, can't come from different counties and cities and commute. It's where you lay your head at night 3 days a week. Not where you get mail or say you live. Should be pretty open and closed, they either all live in the district or they don't and then it is simple. But, it wasn't the vhsl that seeked hayfield out. Somebody in your own house turned it in or a neighboring school. That's the only way vhsl ever catches wind. What will be interesting is what attorney's in other parts of the state do, could see some lawsuits from other parts field against Hatfield. Definitely getting my popcorn out, but more than like won't be 💩.
