Chase Tasker completed 13 of 17 passes for 267 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Skyline Hawks defeated the George Mason Mustangs by a final score of 42-22 on Homecoming.

The Hawks only needed 4 plays to score on their first drive. A 21 yard Tasker pass to Nathan Abel, plus a pair of 10 yard runs by Ty Clingerman set the Hawks up at the Mustangs 23 yard line. Tasker then connected with Anthony Domino on a 23 yard touchdown pass and the Hawks were up 7-0 with 10:16 left in the first quarter.

The next Hawks scoring drive was mostly Tasker to Reedy, as they teamed up for 3 passes for 62 yards on the drive, including a 27 yard touchdown to put Skyline up 14-0 with 11:53 left in the 2nd quarter.

On the next drive, Tasker completed passes of 10 yards or more to three different receivers: Reedy, LT Barber, and Domino. Reedy finished off the drive with a 6 yard touchdown run, putting Skyline up 21-0 at the half.

George Mason botched a snap on a punt attempt, setting the Hawks up inside the 10 yard line. Tasker hit Barber for a 7 yard touchdown to put the Hawks up 28-0 with 8:03 left in the third quarter.

The Mustangs added to their own misfortune as they could not cover a squib kick by the Hawks on the ensuing kickoff as Caleb Dodson sped down the field to cover it for Skyline. On the first play of the drive, Tasker hit Abel in stride for a 27 yard touchdown and the running clock was on.

The Skyline starters only played one more offensive snap after George Mason cut the lead to 35-8. Tasker threw it over the middle to Caleb Reedy who outran the Mustangs down the home sideline for an 80 yard score.

Reedy ended up with 161 yards receiving, two TD receptions, plus a running TD. Ty Clingerman rushed 6 times for 49 yards.

The Hawks improve to 2-3 and will travel to Strasburg next Friday.
