I feel for you all. That was a horrible reverse at the end. ACC just wants Miami undefeated to go to the CFP. No Indisputable evidence at ALL to overturn that call.

We shouldn’t have been in that situation.
1. Why run a fake field goal get the points go up 13
2. Pry let 30+ seconds run off the clock then used a timeout that’s terrible clock management
12 years of mediocrity I’m ready for new everything HC DC AD everyone needs to go except Mines !
This^^^ 100% this.If they had initially ruled it incomplete, I wouldn't expect them to overturn it. But the fact that they ruled it a TD and there wasn't any indisputable evidence, makes it totally bogus. Those refs didn't have the guts to stand by their initial call
Really makes it feel like there was money that the refs would receive if they overturned the call.Hated to see the Hokies get CHEATED. College Football as we know it is gone. It’s a bigger business than the NFL now.
Wouldn’t want to give Miami a lossYea ACC office in Charlotte made that call had to keep an ACC team undefeated
This is why it was an incomplete passRules Question. Was it illegal for the Miami player to touch the ball while clearly laying out of bounds ?
Poor VT coaching decisions no doubt. You're right you have no clue and do not know what you are talking about with regard to the play. That wasn’t a catch…the Miami player out of bounds touched the ball making it an incomplete pass plus the ball was clearly moving anyway. Y’all are clearly fans of Va Tech. I’m unbiased. No clue how they called that a touchdown in real time anyway.
How about talking about the dumb coaching decisions to try that fake FG and to waste all that time on the final drive.
And you’re emotional that your team lost…i don’t know what I’m talking about but the acc officials said exactly what i said about the play lol that’s funny.Poor VT coaching decisions no doubt. You're right you have no clue and do not know what you are talking about with regard to the play.
The ACC was just looking for anything to try and cover their screw up. You don't know what you're talking about on a variety of levels. And you’re emotional that your team lost…i don’t know what I’m talking about but the acc officials said exactly what i said about the play lol that’s funny.
When he came down there wasn’t possession the ball was pinned to his body not in his hands lol. The ball moved then he secured it but by that time a Miami player out of bounds touched it. Now move on to the next game. The ACC was just looking for anything to try and cover their screw up. You don't know what you're talking about on a variety of levels.
First, the call on the field by the officials was a TD catch. Once that was made the replay role is to look for INDISPUTABLE evidence to overturn. Of the 9 ESPN cameras shown some appeared to show a catch, some appeared to show the ball popping loose and a Miami player out of bounds touching and some provided no real view. The ones showing a Miami player touching are later in the play after the seeming catch which would make your point of incomplete irrelevant, much akin to a runner losing possession AFTER the ball breaks the plane. That is still a touchdown as possession of the ball after breaking the plane ends the play. The only real question is INDISPUTABLE and the different angles and conclusions coupled with the significant length of time clearly points to dispute. Had the ruling on the field been incomplete it should not have been overturned either. It was was an erroneously handled process misinterpreted in the context of the designed rules but, it did give the conference their favored outcome. If you still want to question INDISPUTABLE you can look at the diverging opinions of experienced officiating professionals. While there is disagreement as to the actual play result their is little disagreement as to the inappropriateness of the overturn, all deferring to the time honored practice of deferring to the on field officials.
If it was REALLY that simple, why did it take the officials 13 minutes to reach such an "obvious" conclusion? Maybe you should be the head of officiating for the ACC?When he came down there wasn’t possession the ball was pinned to his body not in his hands lol. The ball moved then he secured it but by that time a Miami player out of bounds touched it. Now move on to the next game.
Nope but, you should probably schedule an appointment with your optometrist. When he came down there wasn’t possession the ball was pinned to his body not in his hands lol. The ball moved then he secured it but by that time a Miami player out of bounds touched it. Now move on to the next
