I agree and congratulations to the springers going undefeated in the regular season. Now that this game is over let's bring two championships home. Go springers, go Varina !!

Biggest take away from the game last night was the Varina offensive issues that have showed all season. It just looked like they had no plan of attack other than "Derricot go make a play". I know most will point out they won't face a defense like HSHS again. Probably true, but the inability to run the ball has been a season long issue that doesn't magically get fixed against playoff competition. With that being said let's see how they bounce back next week because there are no easy games in region 4B. The defense to me held up pretty good but when the offense is a literal no show that's not gonna matter.
I believe they’ll be ok but they have to pick their heads up and respond. I remember in 07 Game 10 we got took behind the woodshed by Meadowbrook 41-0 & the next week in the First Round against PH, we weren’t in it mental AT ALL. Varina has got to fight that feeling and rebound because A potential rematch with Powhatan could be looming & that was a slobber knocker last year

Really disappointing action by the officials. That was pure showmanship. There is nothing in the procedures, protocol, or manuals that say,s use a credit card. It is or it ain’t, end of discussion.
Highland springs
I agree 100% about Varinas offense but believe me the talent is there to be explosive. I just don't see the energy or the enthusiasm it's like well we're behind let's start playing. You can't do that with good teams especially highland springs. When highland springs came onto the field Friday night you could feel the electricity coming from the ball players they were on a mission and they executed. When Varina played Patrick Henry it was the same Patrick Henry was fired up and Varina look like they were just going through the motions. We'll see how they do in the playoffs .Go Varina !!!
