If you have been posting on Virginiapreps since the 1990’s then you stand alone. If you have been posting on Virginiapreps since the beginning of the 2001 football season then you are pretty old school and there is a possibility that you witnessed something, that at the time seem pretty strange and impossible. A prediction was made after the first game of the 2001 season, the following day, but prior to the Saturday games. This is a summary of that prediction:
1. The Phoebus Phantoms would win the 2001 D5 State Title
2. The Phoebus Phantoms would win the 2002 D5 State Title
3. The Phoebus Phantoms would go on a run and finish with 60% of the coming championships
4 A future Phoebus team would be directly affected by the 2001 team
Some of you will remember reading that post and some will remember responding directly to that post; while others will remember that the very next week Phoebus lost 10-7 to the Warwick Raiders.
