The day got away from me today, so rather quickly, here is a look at the next-to-last night of the Shenandoah regular season.
Luray at East Rock: Not much of a chance for a game here. The only question that remains is how far the Eagles will go in the post-season. At least their girls team has taught their fans the short cuts to the Siegel Center over the years.
The remaining three games have the potential to be more competitive.
Stonewall at Buffalo Gap: This is likely the Bison's last chance to come up with a district win and I for one would love to see them get it. I wouldn't place a bet on their chances if I were you, but I would not rule them out either.
Wilson at Riverheads: When these two met earlier at the Hive, RHS had its chances down the stretch but Wilson prevailed in overtime. Assuming that the Gladiators remember that, and assuming that they get fired up for Senior Night, they could very well even the score in this one. The Big Red has three games this week total, and with a 7-10 record, if you do the math, you will see the motivation they should have to try and win all three. With Nelson Wednesday night and Stonewall Friday, it really IS a reachable goal.
Page at Stuarts Draft: Last time out on the Panthers' court, the Cougars rocked them by more than 30 points. That shocked a lot of people, yours truly included, but since then the Draft has had some losses, including some much lower-scoring games. So if Page can figure out what those teams did, they still might not win the game, but I will be shocked if the margin is anywhere near what it was the first time.
