Broad Run was no match for Tuscarora in this one. Reimers scored on a 54 yard run on Tuscarora's first possession, then again on a 14 yard run around the right end and Tuscarora was up 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. Reimers fumbled on his own 33 early in the 2nd quarter and that led to Broad Run's first TD, but Tuscarora then put together a 7+ minute drive to score just before half time and lead 21-7 at the half. The 3rd quarter saw little in the way of ball movement by either team, until Tuscarora hit a 40 yard pass to Fisher to get to about the Broad Run 20 before Smith later scored on a 1 yard QB sneak to put Tuscarora up 28-7 entering the 4th quarter and effectively the game was over. Reimers got another 53 yd TD midway through the 4th quarter and the Broad Run scored with about 2 minutes left to make the final score 35-14.
Overall, a good game to watch but Broad Run was overmatched. Their offense consisted almost solely of Reitzel keepers and (mostly inefficient) passes that Tuscarora covered well or were off the mark. For Tuscarora, Reimers took the ball on all but 8 plays until late in the 4th quarter. Although he is a hard nosed, tough runner not afraid to take on tacklers, if Reimers goes down Tuscarora will be in significant trouble because they showed little else offensively.
