Union wins on last second running play. Playing in beautiful Mitchell Stadium, which splits West Va and Virginia, built into the mountains. Union is the high school which was Appalachia High School and Powell Valley High School, both with rich tradition and the Graham G-men of Bluefield Virginia. This area holds a extremely rich tradition of football. Per capita versus other areas of Virginia I would say it holds it own and then some. I saw Ahmed Bradshaw play for Graham. I saw Julius and Thomas Jones play for Powell Valley and more recently James Mitchell for Union, from Big Stone Gap, who will be in the NFL, who now plays for VA Tech.
