Unofficial 1a pairing

As for W&L, they have struggled this season with injuries etc. with but they have Coach Joe Taylor and with AD Malcolm Lewis in his corner, you can never count them out.

Plus they had some great size and some good skill players at least when I saw them. I think that the Eagles will put up a great fight against Franklin.

Good luck to them both.

The Raiders have been on fire lately (Essex game could have gone either way it sounds like). Rapp coaches have been doing a great job of late (WP coaching too) but I think Rapp has too many weapons in the end for WP to contain for 4 quarters.

Clarke ended 7-3 on a somewhat down year for them. Clarke isn’t as good up front as they traditionally have been in the past but they do have good skill kids who have kept them in games and won quite a few for them. Very young team for Clarke. Clarke’s passing game won that one over the Pointers. However-I was impressed with West Point. Great size in their backfield and at LB. Wish them well this Friday.

Franklin is the best team in Region A to rank the 3NN teams above them is insane. Franklin dominated the Neck teams they played. Northumberland and Rappahanock had a opportunity to run the table and failed, this will cost them with early playoff exits.

Riverheads offensive line is not very physical , were their line beats you at is scheme. Notice the lineman they are 2 yards behind were the center places the ball these gives them the ability to see and get to the blocks ( lack of speed) great coaching through ( formation really isn't legal but is at the high school level). They have about 4 plays they execute with precision. You must be a team with some dogs on the Dline to eat up the blockers and let your linebackers make plays. ( Franklin is the only team in 1a who has the personnel to attack Riverheads).

They arent 2 yards behind the center, and no it isnt illegal, no matter what level. They are lined up like a lot of other teams, especially wing teams, line up head on centers hip. If they were 2 yards like you said, then yes that is illegal.

Now you are just trying to come up with crazy things on how a team cheats SMH

Aj is your best lineman, Dameron could help you also in the trenches. You are correct one man cant stop them you will need a pack of attacking dogs in the trenches to stop them.

I am bringing drama? In a thread about 1a, you are talking about Riverheads. Talking about their line not being physical, talking about them being 2 yards behind (which is ABSOLUTELY false), and saying they are doing something illegal.

Look, I couldn't care less if they lose their 1st game, but dont put out untrue statements trying to talk like you know everything.

Are you the the attorney for Riverheads ? You are always quick to play defense attorney for them, I gave my opinion on how to stop them ( just watch youtube). You are excellent at Kissing ### ! Region A, is that better?

I can give you the way to stop them, its actually not that difficult IF executed. I have no issue with that. Heck, you can have your opinion on them being physical. I just get tired of reading all this stuff about them cheating, and every other thing that is posted on here just to cause arguments. Talking about areas of state being dirty, teams cheating, etc

I never said they were cheating !!!!! I merely stated that the reasoning behind the alignment they run, actually it was credit to great coaching.

Geez..fourth best ?...i know its opinions and all but this just doesnt make any logical sense especially adding Ford.and the fact franklin has already played teams out there this year

If they are doing something you say isnt legal, that would be illegal, thus an unfair advantage, thus a form of cheating.

We get it, you dislike them, I dislike them, everyone but themselves dislike them, but to me to try to be genuine in it is to use facts.

If you gonna quote me why didn't you requote all of it ? I stand behind what I ever say . Please requote it all not bits and pieces counselor. I also stated it was legal and confirmed by vhsl officials.

Is there a written rule that you cant be critical of Riverheads without being blamed for hating them ? Whats wrong with me stating my opinion on how to slow them down. Why so sensitive we don't get upset when you guys bragg and boast about how great your football culture is , I applaud that.

riverheads are the patriots of high school football they go through great depths to find loop holes ex. reporting 474 students every year its only cheating unless you get caught.

I did quote your whole thing to begin with, and you doubled down saying about the official. Like I said, I have no issue with not liking them, or having an opinion on how to slow them down. I hope your ideas work. But when you post false information, or post things without facts, this is what happens, you start something that gets brought up and continues to make something all about RH. The Region A teams deserve to have a thread about them, and they deserve the respect they have earned. I for one think that whoever comes out of A has a chance against RH, as does C and D.

Baseball, I dont like Riverheads for the same reason I dont like Wilson, Buffalo Gap, etc. Rivals. I am sure you dont particularly like SD.

Now can we PLEASE get back to the topic of this thread, REGION A, and actually let the ones that matter, the KIDS on the field decide things instead of just assuming someone is far superior.

I’m not the one talking about Riverheads I was just trying to add a little humor to the conversation that I was following from back at the beginning there are posters on here that brought it up and this is 1a conversation and we are in the playoffs quit jumping on anybody that’s got anything to do with Riverheads I like talking football

My biggest gripe these days doesnt lie with Riverheads but the fact that Region B is a complete load of crap with TWO 0-10 teams making the playoffs. Get out of here with that nonsense. Who came up with that wonderful idea? Meanwhile my idea of a playoff/divisional system gets poo-pooed because "too many teams get in" or whatever.

2 teams at 0-10 and 2 round one byes sad. Definitely not fair to the rest of teams in the playoffs and to ones left out who are better than 0-10

Once again it started as a reply about there offensive line until you jumped in . Once again i can discuss any team , anywhere on this board. Im consistent with all of D1. Unlike you , you troll D2 and other boards often discussing teams.

It makes logical sense to me. In fact, using logical reasoning is exactly how I came to the conclusion that Franklin is not quite as good as the top three NND teams. Close.

I believe that you may find out soon. However, being at home in the Armory will give Franklin a better shot.

If Franklin wins, I have no issue admitting my thoughts in this case were incorrect.

Lol ok man.like i said earlier opinions and all...who are these top three teams and why arent they the number one seed ? Franklin isnt quite good as them so why arent they in front ?

I guess Essex was soft when the beat up on sussex in the regionals last year...they just makes sussex softer

Sussex physically punished Essex last year , Essex had 2 critical injuries due to Sussex before you played Riverheads, then Franklin gave you a beating this year that made you change your offense. Good programs in the NN but all soft except CB.
