Graham plays it's home games at Mitchell Stadium, just across the state line in Bluefield, WV and has their game scheduled for 7 o'clock on Friday. Some legal issues caused the WV playoffs to be delayed and now Bluefield, WV is scheduled to play at the same time (Friday night at 7 o clock). (Their opponent got to choose the day and time )... It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Perhaps Graham will have to play against V High at nearby Tazewell or Bluefield could end up playing at nearby Princeton, WV. Either that or somebody will have to play on Saturday. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Graham reserved the stadium first....but there will have to be a compromise. This was bound to happen sooner or later. This and the city of Bluefield, WV allowing Appomattox (nothing wrong with letting them practice, but not asking the host team was sort of a slap in the face) to practice at the stadium without informing the folks at Graham a few years back may be what finally drives Graham to build it's own stadium.

1987GHS, please keep this board updated on when a decision is made or when you find out something. I ask this because if Graham gets moved to Saturday, the short drive from Radford up to Bluefield is one I will make.

Interestingly enough, the Planning Commission met last night in Bluefield just as this situation was unfolding. There is another meeting on December 2nd I believe. This playoff situation may be the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak and push the decision to build a stadium to go along with the brand new turf field at the high school.

No offense to Bluefield WV, but if I'm Graham I'm already contacting the County (Tazewell) and just planning on playing at Tazewell in case Bluefield WV gets stupid. No surprise if this game isn't played at Tazewell High Friday night and I hope not from an outsiders perspective because I would like to see Graham vs VA High on Saturday, this way I can watch Radford and the Graham/VH game

Bluefield will be playing Friday at 7:00 in Princeton, WV.
Graham will still be playing at Mitchell Stadium at 7:00 on Friday.

Isn’t Graham building a new practice field at the school? Would they ever just put a new stadium there? Maybe not enough room but I wasn’t sure. Know they are building something there.

That was completed earlier this year and they’ve been practicing on it. There is actually a building plan/design for a stadium. The Planning Commission is holding another public hearing in December. It could pave the way for the actual construction of a stadium at Graham. 🤞

FWIW across the mountain here in Marion, VA it's snowing pretty hard.
Same here in Bluefield. Forecast calling for a mix in Bluefield around kickoff tomorrow night with gusting wins. Gonna be a nasty, cold and wet game. The G men were out on the snow practicing today, getting ready

Accuweather predicting 6-10 inches in Bluefield
What a fun game! They can call it the Snow Bowl! If roads are clear and safe , I see no reason not to play. The players would probably love it!

It's no joke once you are west enough to pass through the Big Walker Tunnel on 77. Weather and elevation rapidly rise and change. Safe travels to those in the far west of VA tonight. Drive safely and be careful and hoping across VA for an awesome and injury free night of football for every team.

Go Radtown!
