Forge has a dynamic qb and some worthy rbs too. They too are capable of quick strike!I wonder two things when I'm thinking about this game this morning...
a) what happens if Highland Springs turns the ball over like they did against Colonial Forge? Are you Springer fans confident they won't?
b) Varina's quick strike offense has won them games early, I am curious to how they react when they must play all four quarters in a back and forth affair.

They only score 1 td (offensively) against the HS defense. Withouth those gimme tds, the score would have stayed 27-7.
I honestly don't think Varina is as good as Forge! I've seen Varina twice this year and they will have trouble stopping HS's offense. HS will control the LOS and the clock.
Listen up aroundHighland springs has faced better! Varina is not the best team HS has faced all year. No way would I pick them to beat OSmith. Not sure I’d pick them over CF or Avalon either(both had better QB & Line play to go with their speed). I can promise anyone...Varina hasn’t seen a defense like HSHS’s all year. Both Springers lines are dominant, and they control the game.
The only thing that would concern me is if they bring in the 2nd team players too soon like they did vs CF. If turnovers do happen...I have all the faith in the world in that defense to get the ball back to the offense quickly.
Varina if you are listening the highland springs fans say they are concerned that they may have to put the second string in on you guys. That's showing you guys no respect if that doesn't pump you guys up nothing will
I’m guessing you haven’t watched HSHS play the entire year. They put their second string in during every game except Manchester and OSmith in the first half to gain “real game” experience. The #2s played the entire 2nd quarter against CForge with a 6-0 lead. Once CF they took their brief 7-6 lead, the starting QB returned to the lineup, and abruptly drove the team for a TD to go into half with the lead. They’ve done it all year. Unfortunately, the 2s had the turnover bug late against CF,and they had to put the starter back in to finish the job. HSHS doesn’t wait til it’s a blowout to play the 2s.
You can call it disrespect, but HSHS has played better teams than Varina! IMO,Varina would have lost more than once on HSHS’s schedule.
