What have I went back on? Dinwiddie, Varina and Huguenot have all made their case for the best team in the area.
You made some ridiculous claim earlier in the year that Dinwiddie was clearly the best team in 4A. Now you can’t decide what d you riding now Varina or Huguenot. Just stop hating on Phoebus I watched these boys grow up and see how hard they work. I’d appreciate if grown men didn’t just openly hate on their work.
Nobody is hating on Phoebus. Everyone still has them as the favorite. I'm just saying they ain't a world beater like Maury this year. Or even like yall's team in 22.

Phoesbus defense was far more dominant against HSHS, the springs actually didn’t have too many troubles moving the ball on Varina, they just shot themselves in the foot a lot. I think Phoebus front 7 is better than Varina and I’ve seen the springs play against both teams live. Also, it was 28-19 Varina against HSHS
I respect it and agree that Phoebus looked better than Varina against HS. I think a huge part is HS is playing their best ball right now. That’s why we line up.
I think a games between Phoebus and Varina would a low scoring one with both teams probably only scoring through some sort big play, not too many sustainable drives. How Huguenot matches up with Phoebus is really interesting considering the depth Huguenot got on offensive
Phoebus tends to do very well against pass dominant teams
What makes Phoebus special is their ability to put numbers in the box to stop the run, great corners who can play 1v1 on the outside, and pass rushers who pin their ears back dead on destroying a QB. Just tough to break the Phantoms down for more than 1-2 scores. Varina is similar, but have some holes. Huguenot is a bit young, but I really like their team. They be just young and naive enough not to let the mystic bother them.
