4 Hampton

6 Bayside
7 Lafayette

I'd put Salem at #3. Likely the favorite for the Beach District Champs. Feeling both Cox & Bayside are over rated on this list.

Too bad the studs from Bayside transferred to BS. Otherwise, they could have been a major threat for the Beach, Regional & even State Title this year. What a terrible trend for their community.

I'll give it a go...

WE are close mbonape1. Norview lost a lot and I think Kings Fork is going to surprise a lot of people Lafayette is sound as well. Hampton lost a few playmakers, so I went in a slightly different direction.

I think I like your list better. I gave Hampton the nod based of historics. A team like Cox has to show me they can do it again. Also I think Bishop Sullivan has pillaged the beach district. Outside of OS I don't think the 6A's have much of a shot at a 6a title.

Question:
Is Oscar Smith going to be paired with the Richmond 6a's come playoff time?

Not until the Regional Final. They used to cross bracket for the regional semi games but the result was that usually 2 teams from 757 play for the regional titles.

Typically Colonial Forge, Thomas Dale and (this year, likely) Manchester are more likely to battle the team out of 757.

Prediction:
Oscar Smith edges by Manchester in the regional final and finally beats Westfield for 6A crown. I think 6A will be slightly down in NOVA.. way up in Richmond and I have a feeling that Oscar Smith will really gel this year even with younger playmakers. I think OS is the most tried and true-ed team in the field.
I will tell you that Manchester is loaded, I believe they return over 50 players from last years team. Even though they got to the third round of the playoffs, I think they underachieved. They need to start playing 4Q's of football! This years Thomas Dale team is one that you don't want to have to play. They have a history of beating up more talented teams by turning track meets into dog fights. They have several D1 players in the starting lineup.

@757FridayNiteZ who do you think is the biggest challenge outside of the team for Vero beach in the regular season? Kings Fork and ???

Smith has had a lot of talented transfers and the kids coming up from JV/underclassmen are very good. I think they have more depth and balance than the last 2 years. Their issue will be execution of the offense to get their skill players the ball. If they get the most out their players, their chances to get back to the championship game is good.

The unknown factor for Smith is if their new coach, Scott Johnson, can produce the an effective offense that matches their defensive abilities. I expect some inconsistency early in the season and hopefully, they get through that by the end of the regular season. They finish with Indian River, Western Branch, then finish with Kings Fork.
