1. They can still run the ball
2. They are struggling throwing the ball
3. They are good defensively and getting better.
4. They have suffered some early injuries that will be tough to deal with next week playing a good Northside team.
5. The lack of playmaking on the perimeter puts them in a situation where they can not afford mistakes. Less margin for error.
6. Kick team must get better.
7. Persinger and Woods doing a good job.
8. Salem will be challenged by Northside, Blacksburg,Pulaski, and Patrick Henry

I think you definitely forgot Blacksburg!

I got criticized for saying this was a 7-3 Salem team. All the weaknesses I was concerned about have showed their ugly head. Big game this Friday. Will go a long way in determining how this season goes

I was impressed with how they played against Dinwiddie considering OL injuries and youth in the defensive backfield. If they get healthy and continue to improve, they will be a tough out in the playoffs. Looks like a really tough region this year too. Glass, GW, JF, Bburg.
