Which 1A team has toughest regular season schedule?

That’s a good question but it’s tough to say unless you base it off of historical records of opponents.
I think Riverheads has a fairly tough schedule. They play two 1A schools, five 2A schools and three 3A schools and almost all were playoff teams last year. May not be the toughest but its definitely no cupcake either.
Colonial Beach has Franklin, Sussex, Riverheads and West Point plus Rappahannock, Essex, W&L, and Northumberland in the district. That's a tough slate of games.
Riverheads may indeed have one of or the toughest, but playing so many playoff teams doesn't mean much anymore. I am still in more favor of that then when 9-1 teams were routinely missing, but I much preferred the East and West.
I just looked at W&L's schedule and their schedule is brutal. Riverheads, Rappahannock in non district, 2A King William, 4A King George, West Point and then the NND district.
I agree, not in favor of 9-1 team missing the playoffs but 0-10 or any losing record shouldnt make it. Definitely think east vs west was better, last couple of years the best 2 teams met before the Championship game. I still think they could seed regions instead of automatically AB winner plays CD winner.
