Agreed! The Gladiators loaded the bases in the third with no outs and only managed one run. A bigger inning there could have turned the game around. It was your classic pitchers' duel, actually involving four pitchers as each team replaced its starter at about the midway point. All four pitchers performed well and none of them were touched for any big innings or major hits. In fact our local paper in its online story says that RHS actually outhit William Campbell 5-4. I find that hard to believe but I will take their word for it since I assume they get official stats for their stories.
Great crowd on hand tonight for both schools and the RHS fan turnout was amazing for such a long trip. I honestly don't think we had that many people at any of our home games this year.
As rhsgrad said, the Gladiators now travel to Rappahannock (been there, done that!) and WC will host Surry County. Hopefully Region B can rock and maybe these two can meet again down in Salem.
