That is the reason I believe it is possible for the top 4 to lose. Likely not to happen. Personally I think the glaring weakness for Strasburg and CC is pass defense. Running the ball, line play and rub defense are there strengthsAgree. I've not seen any Region with this kind of depth since they expanded to 8 teams in Class 2. If Madison County were 100% healthy from start to present, they would be a top 4 team in Region A, C, and D easily. The 8th seed in B is actually a good football team if healthy. Anyone up in the Valley know if Riverheads is healthy? Always have to pay attention to the Gladiators because their history speaks for itself and if this bunch is 100% healthy or close to it, Draft could have a different possible outcome in their rematch.
I think Dinwiddie/Powahtan will go to the wire. Powahtan almost pulled the upset over Varina a few years back and got beat by Huguenot on the last play last year. I think Dinwiddie’s the better team but Powahtan is a bad match up for an athletic team like Dinwiddie or Varina. If Powahtan can get the ball to Whitver and Henderson consistently (like Matoaca did last night with their playmakers) and control clock, it’ll be close. If they get behind early and have to lean on their defense to stop Dalton/Zion Boisseau then I got Dinwiddie by 21.Spot on with your insights here, I think Powhatan can hang with Dinwiddie for a half, but ultimately the Generals will be too much. Honestly, Hanover beat us 1v1 so they deserve to be there. I do not think they are better than us though but you gotta win the head to head.
KG over Courtland and Varina will win handily over Hanover. Hanover has a scrappy QB but that is where it ends.
As for the region I will give a slight edge to Huguenot bc I think they are the most diverse team offensively. Not much separating the top 3 teams IMO who all have a very real shot at a regional title. Just gotta go take it.

Powhatan and Dinwiddie will be close. Just don’t see Powahtan’s defense being able to stop Dalton consistently.
KG over Courtland. KG’s secondary will have to step it up. They have a freshman and sophomore playing on the back end.
Varina/Hanover will be very BLAH. I think Hanover played too conservative and scary last time. Varina can’t start looking ahead to Huguenot.
Really really hate that Hanover got that playoff spot over Monacan.
I have heard that he either came back last night or would be back for the playoffs, but have no confirmation. He is a definite GameChanger.Any word on Armentrout? When I watched them play Riverheads, he was the best player on the field, and I thought they could be a legit regional championship contender. They still have a good QB and RB, but having him really made them explosive
Yeah nobody is asking for a GW/JF game 😂 would much rather see how improved GW is up, matched up against Salem.Good chance GW gets Salem in playoffs and JF gets Sherando. Lots of football left before JF plays GW
They’ll try to air it out on King George next week. KG literally whipped Courtland a few weeks ago and they had absolutely no success running on KG’s defense. Many people don’t realize that Courtland is one of the biggest teams in C4. They have that young man who transferred from Christiansburg and he’s about 6’6 320 on their O-Line, decent RBs and #8 is probably a top 15 player in this loaded talent heavy region. If they had a different scheme, they’d be a tough out. I tuned into this one before I fell asleep and thought EV/Courtland was the battle of mid vs mid.OCBoy thanks for sharing the link to the game. The broadcast was very well done. It was a close game and I found it fun to watch. Not sure why Courtland passes so much in the second half. They are a running team. There were a lot of penalties, it seemed, at unfortunate times. Congratulations to EV on the win. Have a good one!
Likewise brother, likewise! I’ll see you on Friday!@BoKnowsSports, just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your insight, dedication to the kids and spot on posts this season. Just talking football has been a blast!
I like Huguenot by running clock over EV.It's hard to believe Atlee fell so far. They were in a 3 way tie for 7th two weeks ago. The loss last night really hurt them. Losing to Spotsylvania earlier in the season hurt too. King George vs Courtland may be a good game; but I think Eastern View matches up better with King George. Huguenot vs Eastern View is a rematch from early in the season. Is there a chance of a different outcome this time? Big win for Dinwiddie last night, congratulations! Have a good one!
Hopefully they get things sorted out. Class 1 football is better when Galax is in the mix. As someone who has been a coach, and pray that I will be again one day, Mark Dixon was someone I followed and have nothing but the utmost respect for. I'm not as familiar with Coach Allen, but obviously he had tremendous success as wellGalax had alot of problems this year, they graduated their two best players
from last year(Tucker and Ashworth). Some of the most talented players on this year's team got injured and even had some that couldn't play due to grades. Not to mention from what I've been told there is a lot of attitude problems with this year's team? Galax has more problems right now than most people realize and I'll just leave it at that. On a side note I'm very appreciative of what Mark Dixon and Shane Allen did for Galax football but it's looking like it will be several years before they could be truly relevant again even as weak is class 1 is right now.
Good chance GW gets Salem in playoffs and JF gets Sherando. Lots of football left before JF plays GWGW did schedule a tough ood schedule and JF would do the same if they played in the piedmont. Jf does not play in the Piedmont they play in the Seminole district and every year that district is a meat grinder. The belief by seminole coaches is that if you survive the district healthy you have a shot to be practicing on Thanksgiving day. It is the opinion of the Jf powers that be that playing a harder non-district games would not help but actually hurt the team. Did JF play a tough schedule? The answer to that question is yes they will be battle tested. Has GW played a tough schedule and I would say they have so they are battled tested. How they got the tough games is irrelevant.
If Ft. Defiance gets Armentrout back, I would not be surprised at all if they topped Strasburg. If he’s rusty or not playing, the Rams should prevail.Would like to see all 4 of these. From the very first week,
