What about petitioning to stay down because of "travel and hardship" aka Grayson Co? Sorry, I'm sure I already know your stance, just wanted to point them out again for being lame and not wanting to play up where they belong.

The only true way to "fix" this issue is for the VHSL to stop releasing a number. Schools should submit their enrollment, VHSL takes those breaks them up just like they have been with around 50 in each classification and then release the list. Stop putting out the cut off numbers so schools cant "fix" their enrollment.

I got Hanover undefeated playing Varina on a Thursday night in mid October. It appalls me how big, athletic and with the resources and depth in that school, why Godwin is so bad. Earl Kinney is my guy and if I was to ask him, he probably couldn’t answer 😂 I’d say that this was a big win for Hanover. Statement kind of game against a good opponent. Atlee has my attention. They beat Godwin too. I saw them last year and they were one of the worst teams I saw.

No Graham at Union thread?

This one should live up to the hype as it does about every year. I could be wrong but I think historically Union does not play as well at home in this series so that takes away the 3 points for home field.
Graham hasn't allowed a TD so far while other than Science Hill, Union has shown their O is back for another run deep in the playoffs. All that said I feel the Union O will be able to move the ball and score on what we all know to be a very good Graham D. I however do not think they scaled back O that Graham is running currently will be as effective against the Bear D. If the G-men have been sandbagging a bit then we could see both teams dancing in the endzone a lot. But I will take Union 22-19 going against the popular pick this week

Mid-Cycle Reclassification/Realignment

Glad Martinsville finally made the move to the Three Rivers. There had been talk for awhile that the Dogs were going to pursue this and I'm glad they did. Not that I expect them to have any great success but at least they will be playing mostly schools that are about the same size as they are. Banging heads in football against schools 2 and 3 times their size takes a toll on the Dogs over the course of a season. Hopefully we can be somewhat competitive in the new district. I'm sure we will still play Bassett and Magna Vista for the gate money. Bball should be fun.
