This will be a great game. Honestly is a toss up. I’ve seen JF play a handful of times this season. They run the ball well with a good, strong offensive line. The quarterback Marks can air it out too. Sherando has a good arm with their qb Micah Carlson. Should be a great one. I’ll give Sherando a slight edge but would not be surprised at all to see JF win.

They have built a new accessible walk way and seating area to the right of the home side coming out of the new parking lot

All the games in playoffs they’ll play it only be one game they’ll need to win that’s against Reg A team the rest be cake walk . It’s kinda laughable but its single A football .

Mike @BoKnowsSports already gave @Chuck Vipperman (GW) a heads up. Given all the construction and such hopefully he can give you some local knowledge or help in navigating as J.T. Christopher used to have accessibility challenges and I am not sure on the present set up given the aforementioned construction. I think we have discussed this before but, the settlement that admitted LCA was the result of the recognition that they had neither the resources or the argument to ultimately prevail in litigation and they opted to settle in order to hopefully get an outcome beneficial to the entire VHSL membership rather than accept the risk of litigation with an outcome they might have no input in.

They negotiated attendance multipliers and zoning rules that lessened the potential impact on area schools. The fact that, to this point, no additional private schools have joined and that LCA has not been as competitively dominant as many predicted would seem to indicate they negotiated a reasonable settlement.

What do you know about the actual boundaries and residence requirements LCA agreed to abide by? Do you believe they should have taken the chance and risked litigation? How do you believe the LCA situation pertains to the current Hayfield situation?

Will this game be on NFHS?

What LCA ruling are you referring to or is this just a reference to the settlement of the lawsuit?

These are the 4 we expected to be here. It's going to be a fun watching these games. I'm going to date myself here, but when I was in HS at James Monroe, Varina was in the Battlefield district. Those were pretty long trips for district games!

They sell at the gate but card only. I suggest getting them early on GoFan, they will probably sell out. Best thing to do is sit on the visitor side as it’s easier parking between the stadium and middle school. That’s where I’ll be.

I know they’ve done a lot of renovations but there used to be parking behind the visitor bleachers. They’ve constructed a brand new parking lot on the opposite side of the new gym they’re building. GW has a very very nice athletic facility and plenty of parking.

Also, @Chuck Vipperman (GW) can we please make sure we have a comfortable spot for our brother @mike salem if he’s making the trip down. Hope he gets to make the trip, should be a heck of a football game this year.
