Miller School will face Highland for the DII State championship after defeating Hargrave Military 62-38. It was the fourth meeting this season between the two conference rivals and the Mavericks were able to even the score on the biggest stage.

Junior Eli Delaurier finished with 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Miller School. Jordan Horne added 16 points and Austin Ball added 11 points and nine boards.

Highland scored only 27 points thru the 1st three quarters but outscored Steward School 20-7 in the 4th quarter to win 47-41.

Chance Perkins and Cameron Cole both scored 12 points for Highland who made 4 of 4 free throws in the final 29 seconds.

Curtis Blair III finished with 16 for Steward who seemed to tire with almost no production from the bench.

After a slow start to the VHSL Class 3 state quarterfinal, the intensity came in the second quarter as Staunton just couldn’t keep up with Cave Spring in transition.
The Knights’ size and speed combination proved too much in Cave Spring's 58-30 win over Staunton on Friday night.
Senior Stark Jones led the Knights (23-5) with 19 points and Dylan Saunders added 15 points.

Northside (26-1) @ Spotswood (24-2), if the game is neutral site (can’t remember) I’m guessing it’ll be at East Rockingham.

Staunton (21-6) @ Cave Spring (22-5)

I think both Region D teams will advance but who knows. Both Spotswood and Staunton are young.
