Highland Springs vs. LC Bird
I have to give some credit to Freeman's team. They played a good 1st half against us, as HS wasn't very good! As I said prior, I think they caught a mouth full from the coach at half time. They looked like a different team 2nd half. As far as Bird goes, as I said, I haven't seen them this year...- springer76

I have not seen Bird this year. At this point in the season, every team that is playing after Thanksgiving has earned the right to say "we've got a good team"! Bird laid the wood on GA and deserves to be in the Region Championship. Who deserves the right to play in the State Class 5 Tourney will...- springer76

My hat's off to The Mavericks. They didn't win, but they gave the Springers a game AND something to think about. Bottom line here is the Mavs came to play! HS scored 1st. Last year, HS didn't have the cohesiveness to be dominant. They got better at seasons end and I do believe we got robbed at Stone Bridge with those 2 BS celebration penalties after scoring tds!!! 2020 had a monster team and again lacked cohesiveness! I agree. Except Dale seems to have slipped a little here when they should be peaking! I saw Manchester in week 2 against HS. They were breaking in their Freshman QB. He looked like he could be special there. Maybe Manchester is hitting their stride? I don't know, their defense has some ???!- springer76

Donna was a Henrico County girl. Donna moved to Nashville when she was in her 20's. She met Jimmy Dean there. They bought that big piece of land on the James River on Osborne Tnpk.and built there estate there, where Donna wanted to be! She graduated from Highland Springs HS.- springer76
