HSHS 33 Freeman 10

My hat's off to The Mavericks. They didn't win, but they gave the Springers a game AND something to think about. Bottom line here is the Mavs came to play! HS scored 1st. DF methodically moved the ball eating up tons of time making it a 7-3 game! The teams went back and forth, HS put one together and made it 14-3. HS QB fumbled the ball away and DF drove in the red zone and faked a field goal attempt and scored the td. 14-10 Springers halftime. DF dominated time of possession whole 1st half.
HS's depth got the best of DF in the 2nd half.
Freeman had a nice team this year and congratulations finishing 9-3!
HS vs LCB next Friday 3pm?

HS QB fumbled the ball away and DF drove inside the 5 and settled for 3. 14-10 Springers halftime. DF dominated time of possession whole 1st half.

That is close to the game I saw but not quite. HS took the opening kick off,and scored in three plays. Freeman then methodically drove the ball down the field but the drive stalled inside the 20 and they settle for a field goal. 7-3 HSHS! HSHS once again,drove down quickly and after converting a 4th & 8 from the Freeman 23,Martin plunged in from the 1. HSHS up 14-3. Freeman again drove down inside the HS 20 but the drive stalled again. However,Freeman pulled off a fake FG for a TD. 14-10 HS with 34 seconds left in the half. HSHS returned the kickoff to the Freeman 21,but was unsuccessful on the FG try to end the half. Second half defensive adjustments by HSHS would completely shut down the Freeman offense in the second half. The HSHS power running game and WR depth put the game away.

I posted on here a while back that I thought Freeman would be better than Midlo this year and I was right. Thanks @springer76 for the honest assessment tonight. Bird and Springers should be good next week. I got the Springers but Bird has the athletes to make it interesting.
