Kempsville is the surprise team in the 757. Just a couple of years from celebrating their first win in years to now being a top tier Beach District team! They played Green Run tough in their early season battle.
I see no real opposition to Maury until the 5 A vs B Final. Both Kempsville & Green Run are capable of winning that game.
Yeah maury has a pretty much a clear road to the state semi. Only problem i see with them is we know they are a good top tier team but the long breaks throughout the season which not at their fault will have a effect on them. Like
They will likely be more of a run heavy team.. Stop their QB, which won't be easy, & there is a chance for the Reg B teams.. I doubt Maury will have a chance vs the Northern Reg representative.
This might be the best Stonebridge team I’ve ever seen. They are overly dominant this year. Now,I’m not sure how “truly” strong their opponents are,but they haven’t played a “close game” all yr.
Yeah from what I know and seen from them is that yeah very run heavy so far. But I know they wanted to work the pass game better but when you barley play games its gonna be hard to work that flow in. But if they get that pass game going and overall get in a flow they will be at odu in December.
SB has definitely looked great but like the alot top teams due to schedules not sure what they really are till playoffs in some cases the state final four
This Stone Bridge team is good but I’m not sure they are as strong defensively as the spring championship team. The front 7 had some real playmakers that graduated and are off to Saturday football. Curious to see if Mountain View can make some noise….just don’t know too much about them. If you had me pick today I would say Maury, Green Run, Highland Springs, and Stone Bridge will be your Final 4. Any party crashers out there?
Not really sure with region D of party crashers just so spread out really. 5C just not sure if midlothian is ready yet. 5B well unless the time off catches them or just outta sink maury should run away there. And 5A maybe interesting should GR and kempsville see each other again they are looking pretty good improving and believing in the coaching staff there.
