Thanks for the update. Should be a rocking good time at RHS Saturday night. If I understand the situation correctly, the winner gets to host a state semi-final Tuesday while the loser makes a longggggggggg trip that same night somewhere down in the West region. Talk about your motivation!!!

Riverheads beat a very good Goochland team last night. It was a roller coaster ride and kept most of us on the edge of our seats the entire match. They earned a hard fought match and played with determination even after falling in game one. They played a great game defensively which I think propelled them into winning games two and three, both games ended with 25-23 scores. In game four and after taking a 7-1 lead, Goochland appeared tired with RHS taking advantage and wining the final match 25-16. I'm looking forward to Sat. night and a date with Luray. I guess the Shenandoah District is well represented this year in the final four. Roll Red Pride!

2A West Results:
* Gate Citry beat Glenvar 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, 31-29.
* Floyd beat Union 25-17, 13-25, 25-18, 18-25, 15-13.

Now I almost wish I had made the trip to Goochland! Sounds like RHS really had to reach back for something extra. If I understood correctly from the newspaper coverage, they lost the first game and didn't catch up in the second one until a tie at 23. So they were two points away from falling behind two games to none.

After that tight match, and Luray needing five sets to beat Bruton, I would say that conditioning may very well come into play tomorrow night.

Heck of a game last night in Luray. No doubt the game at RHS should be rocking! Big difference between hosting a semi game or riding the bus southwest.

Looking at the scores above from the West, it looks like all four of the Final Four were pushed to the limit last night. So by the time they all play another game tonight, we could have four tired teams next week fighting for those two tickets to Richmond!
